AGARTALA, Jan 5 (TIWN): Central Govt is allocating separate funds for 2 hospitals at Gomati Dist, whereas the Tripura Sundari sub-divisional Hospital presently has no infrastructure at all and the health service there is fair to the all ‘odds’. The oppositions since the beginning were demanding for re-decorating the sub-divisional hospital as earlier, but instead of decorating the sub-divisional Hospital all the equipments of that mentioned hospital has been shifted to Dist hospital, just to match the tally of the Dist hospital funds. Whereas the oppositions had protested for the deplorable condition of Tripura Sundari Hospital, the CMO Nirumohon Jamatia said that shifting of various items from Sub-divisional Hospital was ‘out of my knowledge’. Talking to TIWN, Jamatia said that he did not know about the shifting of machinery items form subdivisional hospital to Dist hospital.

Amidst roar of criticism, the Gomati hospital was built with the promise of running both the hospitals well, whereas the sub-divisional hospital today lost its glory, as all the machines were taken away from Tripura Sundari to Gomati Dist Hospital. On the other hand for purchasing new items for Gomati Dist hospital crores of funds were separately, allocated the Dist hospital is using all old equipments of sub-divisional hospital. As a result the common people’s agonies have no end at Udaipur town and other near subdivisions as Amarpur. The Dist hospital is too far from the heart of the City and due to lack of equipments no treatment can be done at Tripura Sundari Hospital resulting many deaths on the way after referring to dist hospital.

Tripura Sundari Hospital is suffering from many problems since many years. Reportedly, it’s suffering badly due to lack of proper facilities, staffs, and maintenance. Once the Gomati Dist. Hospital was made, decline of Tripura Sundari Hospital started. 

Gomati Dist. Hospital was inaugurated at Tepania, after shifting the hospital form Udaipur Main Town to Tepania in the year 2014. People on that time protested against the Govt.’s decision of hospital shifting. However after ensuring the mass by the then Health Minister Tapan Chakraborty, to avail all the facilities to the patients atlast it was started in the year 2014.

But wailing all against the promises, now the subdivsional hospital left in deplorable condition due to negligence of the Govt and Hospital administration.
