AGARTALA, Jan 4 (TIWN): Although boosted high about declining crime-rate in Tripura but DGP K Nagraj on Wednesday accepted that Tripura police to face heavy challenge due to lack of cyber-counter-crime arrangements.
As the future challenges, Nagraj via a press release said, “With the technological advancement and the use of internet, social media etc. it is expected that the number of cyber crimes may increase in the coming days”.
“Although the number of cyber crimes in our state is marginal at present, it may bring new challenges before the police in coming days”, Nagraj said.
“…our efforts will remain people-friendly. With the transparent policing and timely response, we world be striving hard to provide for safety and security to the people of the state and facilitate speedy progress on all fronts”, Nagraj added.
Prime Minister Modi pitched for cashless economy, all transaction via cyber world - whereas Nagraj led Tripura Police remianed in dark age on tackling cyber-crimes.
