AGARTALA, Jan 4 (TIWN): Tension has still gripped Tripura after the major jolts of earthquake was felt by the people here.
The 5.7 Magnitude earthquake also has killed one at Kamalpur on Tuesday.
One woman at Kamalpur named Kamalini Kanda died due to heart attack, when she was coming out of home during the shakes of the soil, TIWN reported.
The earthquake affect also felt in other Northeast states of India and neighboring countries- Bangladesh and Mayanmar.
This is the first earthquake whose epicenter was in Tripura (Dhalai) and such level of terror was almost first time felt in the state.
4 students injured in the capital city during the earthquake and same in other places also, although the number of deaths are very limited.
On the other hand many houses were collapsed due to the earthquake.
Landslides also happened at Longtarai and other hilly areas, TIWN reported.
