AGARTALA, Dec 21 (TIWN): Tripura CM’s childhood friend Law Secretary Data Mohan Jamatia infamous for his personal attacks against former Chief Justice Deepak Gupta and manipulating all politically sensitive cases in State Govt’s favour by pushing the ball to Supreme Court for infinite postponments. DataMonhan’s absence was heavily felt when the Jut Mill Case was badly lost by Tripura govt at Supreme Court. After former Chief Justice Deepak Gupta’s departure from Tripura, as the former Law Secretary was re-appointed in his earlier post he became active to manipulate CPI-M’s political benefits by delaying cases to hide rampant corruptions. Sources informed that the SC-ST Promotion-case is hanging at Supreme Court, which has led the ruling CPI-M Govt to work on the tally of SC/ ST/ General category’s promotions. Reportedly, on last 14th Dec. a notification was published by GA (P&T) Dept. signed by Add Secretary R P Dutta. In this it has been written on 9th March, 2015 a hearing was declared when Tripura Govt was challenged by Jayanta Chakraborty and defeated in the case at High Court.

After that High Court listed few rules for promotions.

But showing the thumb to Tripura High Court’s veridict, State Govt escalated to the Supreme Court, also it was the heat of the moment when Datamohon reacted badly with the then Chief Justice Dipak Gupta regarding the case. .

But as the case is hanging at Supreme Court since indefinite time, many works under State Govt was disrupted.

If Supreme Court uphelds High Court's order(most likely) then all illegally CPI-M supprters / promoted staffs would go back to their earlier positions.

It’s worthy to mention here that after Tripura govt lost the case at Supreme Court with Jute Mill employees regarding pay scale, now the govt is under tremendous pressure regarding various pending cases and the probable negative outcome of those cases. However, eventhough Datamohon Jamatia brought back to his earlier position as the law secretary of Tripura, but there is hardly any chance of state govt’s supportive judgment at SC.

Tripura Govt has developed another new fashion to challenge the High Court order at SC, for which Govt doesn’t face any fund crisis.

Tripura Govt has developed another new fashion to challenge the High Court order at SC, for which Govt doesn’t face any fund crisis but the intetion is to delay cases indefinitely.

But surprisingly, whereas the govt has much urgency for SC / ST promotion case to appease CPI-M supporter officials, it has no desire to hurry up the 10,323 teachers’ case, which has generated much anger among a section of youths.
