AGARTALA, Dec 21 (TIWN): The demonetization affect has highly brings down the price at Vegetable markets, said a survey on vegetable market at Agartala Gol-Baraar. Whereas the customers are happy that after almost a year the market price has downed and people are able to buy full of vegetables in their bangs, on the other hand the businessmen expressed quite displease.

Cauliflower is selling at Gol Bazaar at Rs. 10/-, TIWN reported. A businessman named Subrata Das said, “After few days may be we have to feed the vegetables to the cattle at home”.Reportedly, potato has already started to rotten which caused heavy losses to the farmer.

However, it can not be ignored that before 2 years also the vegetable price was not so high as now it is. A customer alleged that the price what is at market is average but due to high demand the businessmen here takes extra profit always. In anyway thus after one month the demonetization has brought smiles to the consumers’ here.

The market price is high in Tripura as domestic products are very less here. Infact last week Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar also accepted the fact that Tripura’s price is high as it’s based on imported items. On the other hand Tripura people especially the State Govt employees income is much less, and in that condition the high price during whole year worries the public.

But on the same occasion Sarkar further lectured the central govt to improve country’s agriculture so that people can live happily amidst low income, whereas Tripura’s GDP has reported as the lowest GDP growth in the whole nation, with 7 % only.

Tripura Govt doesn’t cultivate any agricultural product & it’s fully depends upon the public resulting burning price of vegetables during the whole year. After facing whole year of price hike the public here to face more price hike, fueled by the flood occurring in state.
