Agartala, June 16 (TIWN): Congress party is suffering from serious crisis just before the three-tier Panchayat poll. Congress had not to face such a crisis in 1978. On the other hand, anti-left trend against CPI (M) is in a very good condition at the sub division. In spite of that Congress was never seen in such a terrible crisis among the opposition parties.

At the same time after extreme good result of Trinamool Congress in Lok Sabha poll attraction towards BJP increased among good section of voters. It would not be a surprising fact if the trend in favor of BJP reflects in the three-tier Panchayat poll.

Political conscious people and voters of the sub division opine that vote for Congress will float towards TMC, a small section of vote for Congress will be caste in favor of BJP and a very good section of vote will go in favor of CPI (M). The situation of Congress at Sonamura is neither useful for home nor useful for outside.

It is mentionable that Congress broke into three sections before state assembly poll in 2003. Majority of Congress supporters joined Trinamool Congress and a small section of Congress joined TPGC OF Subal Bhowmik. Although no Congress leader left Congress after assembly poll except Idris Mia. Right now workers and supporters of Congress are proceeding towards BJP and TMC after the debacle of Congress at LS poll and deteriorated relationship of leaders among themselves.

Sources said that many villagers from different Panchayats said to the leaders of sub division that they are willing to select candidates for nomination in case of BJP and TMC but they are not interested for Congress. Although the aristocracy of Congress is responsible for the trend, in such a situation the workers and supporters of different anti-left parties wanted that opposition vote should not be divided. They also want to stage candidate the alliance of opposition parties to defeat Left Front irrespective of difference in strategy and ideals. Though, some Congress leaders have antipathy towards opposition alliance. However, the opposition camp is going to stage candidates with alliance avoiding Congress.
