AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): A one day state level seminar-cum-workshop was held at Pragna Bhawan on Saturday and discussion held on the details of SC / ST Prevention of Atrocities-1989.

Reportedly, the Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribe Welfares of Tripura had jointly conducted the workshop.

Datamohon Jamatia, the Law Secretary of Tripura was the key speaker of the programme.

Apart from him Uttam Majumder DIG, Police Dept Satyabrata Chakraborty, Senior Journalist also delivered speeches.

Uttam Mandal, the Joint Director of Tripura Schedule Cast and Schedule Tribe Welfare held an effective discussion on Tripura Schedule Cast and Schedule Tribe reservation Act-1991 and rules of 1992.

Joint Director of TW H. L Debbarma also talked on various departmental schemes of schedule tribe welfare.
