AGARTALA, Dec 14 (TIWN): Remembering Fidel Castro, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar once again sheds tears on America’s overruling on various countries. In a programme held at Rabindra Bhawan, which was organized in remembrance of Fidel Castro, Sarkar said, “Fidel has set an example how to fight against a Capitalist Country like America”. “Fidel was symbol courage, determination, student movement, fight against capitalism. Fidel's ideology and determination has gifted Cuba a crime free society and where people are most educated in whole world”. Sarkar’s hour-long speech bored a section of students who were forcibly brought by SFI leaders from various Colleges of the Capital City in class hours and led them to listen CPI-M’s speech in Rabindra Bhawan auditorium, when the students are to face exam shortly".

Tripura Chief Minister who has no concern about state’s problems, but was busy to boost about that island country Cuba and said how international media are praising Cuba. However, it’s worthy to mention here that in ‘Havana Times’ it has been written, “…To claim that Cuba is an enemy of the United States would be humorous if the statement didn’t have such tragic and shameful consequences. How could a small country, without offensive weapons of any kind represent a threat to the most powerful empire on the face of the earth today?”

Apart from that The people of the United States and Cuba have always maintained relationships of friendship, as befits two good neighbors. US citizens who, despite the prohibitions in effect in their country, still travel to Cuba and can attest to this.

Whereas Sarkar said, America was looting Cuba’s wealth including Telecommunication service history says that in 1960, the US oil companies Texaco, Esso, Standard Oil and Shell ceased supplying Cuba with oil as part of a measure aimed at paralyzing the country economically. When Cuba found another supplier in the former Soviet Union, the same companies refused to process the oil in the refineries in the country, and the government had no choice but to nationalize them and to prevent the country’s collapse.

This is not new, but earlier also CM had advertized China for being the greatest threat for America in economy. But the communist should learn to watch out apart from the Communist ruled country and must see where they actually belong.
