AGARTALA, Dec 12 (TIWN): Tripura left front party has finally decided not to take any more action against any party members as already one after one women related crimes have damaged the party image ahead of Assembly Election. As per source, CPI-M had asked RSP councilor Mrinmoy Sen to resign from his post, but he denied to do so. In this situation, now the ruling party is trying to close the case by putting pressure upon the victim family so that they withdraw the case, claimed by MLA Asish Saha. Talking to TIWN, Saha said, “Violating the transparency of a case is the nature of communist party and now the party is blackmailing the victim family so that they withdraw the case". However, on Saturday, the agitated local people gheroued accused Sen’s house as within 4 hours he got bail order. State BJP also held a rally at Agartala town seeking strict action against Mrinmoy Sen.

On Dec 9, just after CPI-M led Women Association had hit SP Office blaming TMC leader and his family members for killing a housewife (eventhough hand-written suicide note was recovered) immediately Mrinmoy Sen   was arrested for abusing and allegedly raping a minor girl residence.

TMC leader and MLA Asish Saha immediately reacted against the incident, “Just now the CPI-M led women association had brought allegation against TMC leader, but will they take any action against the minor rapes which are increasing like anything ? Yesterday also a 12 years girl was raped but CPI-Ms are silent. But unfortunately the Chief Minister of Tripura never says anything against such cases, like everytime is also silent. Just to fool people he boosts about CPI-M led Women Commission’s so called ‘Good’ works”.

“From Manoranjan Debbbarma to Joykishore all are the products of CPI-M, and in this 23 years the govt. has done nothing for the victims, except expelling few leaders from party”, he added.

Another TMC leader S Chowdhury said, ‘whenever asking about rape, the Chief Minister says that it’s national issue, when asking about employees right he says he has nothing to do. So if he can not do anything he should resign now’.

BJP also condemned against the incident saying that the crime against women are spiking up like anything.

Criticism also raised about Chief Minister’s speech on the occasion of Women Commission’s building inauguration when he said “crime against women” is a social issue. Asish Saha said if it’s social issue why the Chief Minister remains silent in such cases.
