KAMALPUR, Dec 11 (TIWN): “Modi came into power with magical promises. And people ousted the former Congress led government for its corruption and misrule. But in last 30 months Modi roamed around the world in the name of bringing foreign capital.
He and his party denounced almost all the pre-poll promises. And the last hit was demonetization in the name of searching out black money”, said MP Jiten Choudhury last evening at Shantirbazar as the Chief Orator of the open rally arranged to mark the beginning of 15th Divisional Conference of leftist tribal wing TYF. Jiten further added “Modi is the first Prime Minister who escapes Parliament fearing to answer the opposition. And it is so as he knows well that his rule brings in further plight for the commoners rather than the lofty promises. His promises of achche din would be more deplorable with the introduction of cashless economy as crores of rural Indians still remain without mobile or television. Moreover, the laborers, farmers, unorganized sectors would be the worst sufferer.” In the president ship of Rashi Tripura MLA Anjan Das, veteran CPI-M leader Kamal Kar, tribal leader Amalendu Debbarma delivered speech in the open meet. After the meet, the two day-long conference began which would end this evening.
However, the presence of tribal community remained relatively low in the meet. Many party workers expressed that, many tribal youths have joined hands with BJP. Many others remained detached from the party activities due to the negligence of the leadership of TYF. However, the poor presence has casted deep concern for the party leadership.
