As the artists said that drama is always form of protest so honourable Chief Minister prescribed Tripura artists script material and gave political direction and where, how they should go. Addressing at Rabindra Bhawan, when everyone discussed about various challenges faced by the artists due to the popularity of theatre is lessening in the digital Era, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said, “The problem of unpopularity of drama lies not actually in other things, but it’s controlled by politics. Chief Minister before other state delegates said that an form of art should have target to make things positive and to fight against the roar of false criticism. Chief Minister’s speech clearly declared that he is sick of the continuous criticism, raising against him.

“Since last 30 to 32 years the condition of the country is continuously worsening. In everything the govt trying to put some boundaries and in this way freedom of the writers have been seized. The 3000 years tradition spoiling due to the chaos created by the Govt at Centre”. He further called for the artist based in Tripura to fight against the  present situation of the country.
