AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): On the one hand religious dogmatism has been banned from CPI-M’s secular party ideology, but on the other hand many Tripura Communist Chief Minister is facing much controversy. Question rasing as if his party is secular why then no action on religious cruelties has been taken. Begin from Matabari Tripura Sundari Temple, the Chief Minister never bothered to raise voice or aware the people against sacrificing goats there.

On the one hand CPI-M Govt claims it has 98 % literacy rate, on the other hand the Kali temples are suffering from everyday blood-sheds. This is however all because of vote-banks, but question raises when it comes on illegal trafficking of cattle.

Tripura CM in speech recently said, “A person hardly eats meat a day in a month, so restriction on Cow-slaughter?”.

However attacking the Chief Minister’s comment and his CPI-M party, Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) said eating may be right but nobody has right for violating animal rights.

On Dec. 2 a vehicle was seized by Tripura police with 4 half dead cows inside it. Although police failed to nab the smugglers but vehicle has was recovered, which was to pass via Sonamura border.

Such incidents are not new in Tripura, as Sonamura Border area become the corridor of smuggling cows and buffaloes to Bangladesh for last few months. Cattle smuggling rising day by day through Indo Bangla Border by smugglers under Sonamura  Sub Division. Then using different routes, they reach the border area and smuggle them at night. But the Chief Minister has no headache all about those.

But pointing out the animal right’s violation, Bajrang-Dal of VHP said that the Illegal trafficking of cows is affectively hampering the cow-rate here.  Although Cow slaughter Act like other states as UP, Panjab, Orissa etc enforced the law but being an agro-based state the CPI-M govt just for vote banks remain silent on the issue. VHP further said that the transportation by way of vehicles cow must be followed with compliance of strict rules, as the animals there are highly tortured and they particularly demanded to take necessary steps to stop cow smuggling to Bangladesh.

On December 6, the CPI-M in Tripura for the first time has observed the Communal Harmony & Unity Day in a grand manner which created chaos in whole Agartala City.

Shruti Bangaru Laxmi on Dec 3rd said, “CPI-M uses the minorities as their vote banks”… and that was proven when on the day of observing death anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar, the govt left the student unions to be busy with Hindu-Muslim sentiments.

The Babri Masjid topic remained unimportant for the Hindus and Muslims in Tripura; but with this programme and distribution of scripted copied although may help to increase the Muslim Vote Banks for CPI-M, but it may create more clashes in state, when the state is already suffering from Shambhu Satmura & Chittaranjan Debbarma’s death by Pakistani militants.

On Oct 27 Chief Minister in a school programme politicizing demonetization said, “On the one hand India’s people can not earn Rs. 20/- each family and govt has brought bindings for beef eating”. Eating animal is a personal preference and if somebody tell you that you can not eat chicken or mutton how would you feel?, said CM.

He further mentioned, “The people who are Mulsims and staying in India they actually love the country as their motherland, otherwise they could leave during partisan.  If they didn’t love India they would be in Pakistan or Aftanistan”.

Ahead of innocent Children he further mentioned, “Central Govt trying to change the history with Ramayana & Mahabharata—but those are myths. They do not have freedom fighter’s history at all”. However, he didn’t mention that Tripura’s history books are also occupying by Lenin, Hitler whereas none of the Central school teachers Ramayana & Mahabharata as history till day.

Now it’s to be seen how far VHP’s demand is listen by the CPI-M govt here, the govt which bears even sympathy for Pakistanis sometimes.
