TIPS Paramedical students urge for creating posts

Agartala, June 13 (TIWN): Suppressed resentment is prevailing among the Bachelor of Hospital Management (BHM) passed out students (2009-10 and 2010-11 batch) of Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences (TIPS) as they are not getting placement according to the assurance of the college authority.

The concern students today alleged that after the completion of the course, TIPS authority offering them different out state jobs for only Rs 3000-4000 as salary. For that, the BHM passed out students raised an allegation that they will not be able to do anything by the salary of Rs 3000-4000. In a recent past, the principal of TIPS- Chandan Mitra had expressed in a press conference that the students are not interested to take placement facility. But the worried students today raised a question that how they will manage in out states after getting salary of Rs 3000-4000?

According to the press release issued by the (BHM) passed out students, the state governments of every state except Tripura creating new posts for the Hospital Management students in health sector.

They also alleged that the then health minister of the state- Tapan Chakraborty assured them saying the department will create new posts in the hospitals under NRHM and state government for BHM students during a deputation by the BHM students. For that they urged to the new health minister to look into the matter. For the betterment of the hospitals and to eradicate the unemployment problem in the state, the government should create posts for the BHM passed out students, they said in a press conference at Agartala Press Club, here today.

The same issue was also raised by the  Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology.

(BMLT) passed out unemployed youths of TIPS. Similarly, they alleged that if the Arts students not eligible for the BMLT course then why the college authority took admission for the course, this year.

The health director allegedly said to them that it is not his concern that how and from where they have passed. The department will recruit as per the R.Rules, he said. But the fact is that he is a governing body member of TIPS.
