World Disability Day celebration continues in Tripura : Disable children participated in sports-events

AGARTALA, Dec 4 (TIWN): A huge number of disable students participated in various games at Sishubihar play ground on Sunday.

This event was as a part of observing World Disability Day-2016.

On Saturday also, various programmes were held on this occasion across Tripura.

On this occasion, Tripura Dristihin Unnyon Samiti conducted a programme at Umakanta school and motivated the blind students.

A huge number of blind students participated in that rally. 

The Rabindra Bhawan applauded when the specially-able-children performed various songs, dances during the programme.

Students of Institute for Visually Handicapped Boys sang the inaugural song.

Group dance were performed by Abhoy Mission, Monobikash, Institute for Visually Handicapped –Girls, Ashabar and other institutions.

A little girl Puja Das cheered the audience with her wonderful solo dance.  Many children performed also solo songs there. 

Minister Bijita Nath, Special Secretary to SW & SE Chaitanya Murti, Jilaa Shabhadipati West Tripura Dilip Das, TCW Chairperson Manika Dutta Roy, Tripura Skill Development Mission Director S K Panda were present in that programme. 

As a part of World Disability Day-2016, Kaliashahar also observed the day with full enthusiasm on Saturday.

Jilla Sabhadipati Kalpana Debnath inaugurated the programme by lighting the candle at Unakoti Sports Complex.

During the occasion the disable children were provided with various items for them.

During the whole day, there were many programmes for the disable children. 

Lions club organized a blood donation camp.

Many programmes were held as quiz, sport, sit and draw competition, health camp for the disable children at there.

Kailashahar town also witnessed a colourful rally in the morning which kicked off at R K I ground.

In quiz, sport, sit and draw competition health camp more than 100 children participated from Unakoti Dist.

But as at North Tripura there is no centre for disable children so many participants arrived there from Dharmanagar.
