AGARTALA, Dec 4 (TIWN): Total 3,439 candidates appeared in TET examination for 2,115 posts of Graduate and Post Graduate Teachers. Total number of 1,605 applicants had applied for the post of Graduate Teachers and 1,834 applicants applied for the post of Post Graduate posts.

 The  vacancy for 1,294 Graduate teachers for class IX and X and vacancy 821 Post Graduate teachers has been kept.

 Among 1,294 Graduate teachers’ posts, 673 posts are approved for Under Reserved (UR) category, 220 posts for Scheduled Caste (SC) category and 401 posts for Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. And among 821 Post Graduate teachers’ posts, 428 posts are approved for 428 UR category, 141 posts for SC category and 252 posts for ST category, he added.
