KAILASHAHAR, Dec 2 (TIWN): In an attempt to inspect the present condition of Rangauti border areas, where people since yrs have been alleged for living in miserable condition without basic facilities of lives, PCC Chief Birjit Sinha visits the area and met the common people there.
Allegedly, although they are Indians, but regularly they have to show their identity cards and after proper checking they can cross the fencing.
But everyday at 5 PM as per rule the gate gets close which creates hurdles for the daily labours there.
They have to cross about 10-12 KM per day and in case of any delay they spend their nights outside the home, TIWN reported.
Locals urged to keep the gate open till 7 PM but it remained without any action till day. Allegedly, due to the fencing 14 families are living outside the fencing.
However, MLA Birajit Sinha visits the place and talked to the locals there.
Sinha strongly criticized the situation and promised to take the issue to national level.
