Agartala, June 11 (TIWN): The ruling party to win 100 out of 100 seats in the Panchayat election far before even the date of election is being fixed. When the other parties were busy during the Lok Sabha polls the ruling party had already started planning about the Panchayat polls.
The ruling party has been busy using the administration to make itself in a better position in the Panchayat election. It seems the ruling party is following the old policy of divide and rule by the British Empire. The Panchayats which remained under the opposition regime were divided into two parts so that the voter numbers can be divided. Fatikroy, Kanchanbari and other Panchayat areas are divided into smaller parts whereas Panchayat areas ruled by the ruling party have weakened the other parties in the coming Panchayat election.
On the contrary, joining in BJP continues throughout the state. Though the results of Lok Sabha polls for the party in the state was not up to mark, but the leaders are trying their level best to set up the party keeping ahead the upcoming Panchayat poll. The party is likely to give candidates in the entire state for the Panchayat election.
BJP held a meeting on the upcoming three-tier Panchayat election. State Committee officials, District President and State Conveners from various BJP cells took part in the meeting. State President Sudhindra Dasgupta presided over the meeting. Besides, State General Secretary Sundar Kumar Paul also remained present there in the meeting.
In the meeting, a long-term discussion was held over the poll strategy of the Panchayat election and the leaders attending the meeting were urged to stay connected with the mass centering the election. Among the others, State General Secretary Gouranga Paul, Pulak Kumar Debnath, Rajib Bhattacharjee, Bhabatosh Das, Kamal Dey and Prasenjit Chakraborty delivered the meeting.
