AGARTALA, Nov 28 (TIWN): Tripura’s 3 opposition parties held separate protest rallies at Agartala raising voice against demonetization.
However in total 4 parties have protested against the demonetization : AAP, CPI-M, TMC and Congress.
Among the 4 parties CPI-M decided to call for a 12 hrs strike, which was held on Monday.
But the rest 3 oppositions TMC and Congress highly criticized the way of CPI-M’s protest.
Tripura Congress President MLA Birajit Sinha told TIWN that it was totally unnecessary to call the strike, when the country is undergoing such a crisis.
TMC MLA Asish Saha also rubbishes the idea of strike and said that the strike has been opposed also in WB.
Congress also protested by burning PM Modi's effigy.
