SABROOM, Nov 28 (TIWN): Sabroom Judicial Magistrate entered office with huge police force after the road before the court was blocked by 'bandh' picketers.
Keeping in mind the 2nd Sep, 2015's attack,such safeties are taking.
Recently on September 28 last, the High Court of Tripura took a suo moto cognizance of the incident in Sabroom and Belonia in which two judicial magistrates were attacked by bandh picketers. Chief Justice Deepak Gupta also issued a notice to one of the accused- CPIM leader Tapas Datta asking to file his reply within two weeks but ultimately the HC has issued bail to the accused.
They were allegedly accused of abusing District and Sessions Judge of Belonia Ruhidas Paul during the Left Front sponsored general strike on September 02 last. Besides Paul, the CPIM picketers attacked Sourabh Saha, SDJM of Sabroom and vandalized the court when he went to attend court proceedings.
According to reports, a group of picketers belonging to the ruling Left parties' trade unions attacked the Sabroom and Belonia SDJM courts on September 2 and tried to assault the magistrates to enforce the nationwide bandh in support of their demands.
