UDAIPUR, Nov 25 (TIWN): In a shocking development, RTI has revealed massive corruptions held under Tripura PWD; which heavily charged the administration at Udaipur for constructing the lifeline of Kamarbag village under Matabari Panchayat with cheap materials. Reportedly, Narayan Shil, who is also the Dist. OBC Morcha President had applied via RIT behind the deplorable road of that locality within few months of construction. On Thursday BJP released the reply on RTI which was applied before 6 months and, where huge corruption of PWD was unearthed and the work was said as of very low quality. However, the road was immediately reconstructed there. Tripura BJP President said, “This is the victory of the common people against Corruption".

Locals also organized a programme on that occasion, where BJP State President encouraged the people to stand for their rights and to protest against any corruption or mismatch, wherever they find. This area belong to CPI-M MLA Madhab Saha, who allegedly was mute spectator of such problems of the local people. This was also a great achievement for BJP here, as reportedly many had joined in BJP on that occasion.

It’s worthy to mention here that PWD corruption has turned the national highway into a miserable shape. The only National Highway which connects the whole Tripura is left in very pathetic shape since years. On Thursday, TIWN visited the Agartala-Sabroom road where after every inches there are wholes, broken parts of road which turn the journey much tough for common people.

On the one side a very slow progressing double lane work is going on but on the other hand the broken road has increased the chances of accidents. Many have alleged for becoming ill due to the pathetic roadway here.

Statewide across Tripura corruption has gripped the PWD in every subdivisions. Even tough funds continue to come from the central govt. but the fruit of those funds are invisible yet of today. Either in the matter of road-way construction or building construction, everywhere the sign of corruption is so much visible.
