KAMALPUR, Nov 24 (TIWN): Acting on a tip off Ambassa police almost 2000 bottles of foreign liquors near Jawaharnagar around 5-30 pm last evening. Police also nabbed two persons of Assam namely Abbas Ali and Mintu Mia. Today police produced the seized liquors before court. Two nabbed persons were also produced before the court.

According to the information, a huge consignment  of illegal foreign liquor was being brought into the state. The liquors were for selling in Assam only. Getting the information Ambassa police got set near Jawaharnagar and nabbed the consignment.

However, huge consignment of illegal liquors and contrabands are being shipped into the state almost everyday. And occassional success of police just remains the tip of the iceberg.
