AGARTALA, Nov 23 (TIWN): Facing shortage of teachers for long, students of Purna Gram School under Kamalasagar locked the main gate of their school.

Students alleged that they as well as the villagers have apprised the higher authorities about the problem many times, but all their requests had fallen on deaf ears.

Students alleged the teaching work in their school was hampered due to shortage of School teachers. The students locked the gates in the morning and despite persuasion by their teachers, they did not open the gates. The gates were opened in the long run, after the villagers told them that the officials of the Education Department had assured them of more teachers soon.
