Udaipur, June 9 (TIWN): With an endeavour to increase the service in Tripura, the fourth CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) filling station under Tripura Natural Gas Company Ltd (TNGCL), a division of the Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL), was inaugurated by the Transport Minister-Manik Dey at Brahma Bari of Udaipur sub-division, here today.
This fourth CNG station has 4 dispensers for light commercial vehicles. This supply is replenished everyday by CNG filled cascades mounted on a LCV which ply between Agartala and Udaipur. This station has dispensing capacity of 3000 kg per day, a TNGCL’s official confirmed today.
There are three more CNG stations, one at AD Nagar, one at Radhanagar IOCL’s retail outlet and one at TRTC Complex, Krishnagar existing in the state. Further construction of CNG station at Briddhanagar has been completed and is in trial run phase.
TNGCL commenced supply of natural gas to Agartala in the way back June, 1990, initially to domestic customers. The GAIL took over TNGCL’s management position in the year 2005. The TNGCL currently supplies PNG close to 15000 demestic, above 250 commercial and 45 small industrial consumers in and around the city Agartala. TNGCL has taken up expansion plan to cover rest of Agartala under PNG connectivity in upcoming years.
The other dignitaries including Minister for Industries and Commerce- Tapan Chakraborty, Member of Tripura Legislative Assembly- Madhab Saha, the chairperson of Udaipur Municipal Council- Monica Das, District Magistrate of Gomati- Sonal Goel, MD of TNGCL- AM Tambekar and the director (commercial) of TNGCL- KD Chattaraj were remain present in the inauguration ceremony of the fourth CNG station in the state.

(3)Booster Compressor: 1 Nos .(4)CNG given at present: Auto/ Light vehicle
(5) Cascade Station: 1 Nos. having 40 Nos. cylinder capacities.
