KAMALPUR, NOV 20 (TIWN): Several Primary and Senior Basic Schools in the subdivision under the Education Inspectorate of Kamalpur undergoing proceedings without providing Mid Day Meal to the students. And it happened as the schools left with no rice. Hence the students got providing with dry foods like biscuits and sweetmeats.

For last fortnight or so an unprecedented happening continued in different Primary and Senior Basic schools of the subdivision. Schools like Mangal Singh Para SB, Shwetrai JB and many others schools situated away from the hurly-burly of sub-divisional headquarters continued their proceedings without providing Mead Day Meal to the students. This violation of Right to Education Act and the resultant deprivation of the students continued even though the students’ organizations and political parties knew it. But nobody seemed scared about such irregularity.

When enquired of it got revealed that, the incident took place as the respective school had left with no rice. Now, either the quota for the schools was curtailed or the rice was misused by the school authorities. Whatever might be the reason, the students must not be deprived. And the Education Inspectorate must not numb up in the issue. But, it remained an irony that, in this state of ‘golden era’ everybody shut up their conscience and consciousness in this issue.
