KAMALPUR, Nov 19 (TIWN): The plight of the patients at Kamalpur BSM Hospital seems not to end soon. The doctors continue the trick of reffering patients to District Hospital at Kulai or GBP Hospital at Agartala. And not only the critical patients but also patients with common cold and flu, joint pains or gastritis problems are being referred frequently. The saga paced up more for last one week as the only Medicine specialist Gopinath Barman is at leave. The hospital now has the Padetrician, the SDMO, the Ansthesist, one senior MBBS doctor and two or three junior MBBS doctors.

Now, leaving the Padetrician, the Andthesist and few junior staffs other doctors became busy in amusement regularly right from the evening. And attending the patients seems very annoying to them. As a result they prefer to mass refer on the excuse of the absence of the Medicine specialist.  Sometimes they panic the patient and patient parties to compell them for accepting the refer.

In several cases the patients get cured after the treatment of the pharmacy owners within hours of the refer. Moreover, they use to reject the refer and go home happily. And many of the patients who venture for referred hospitals get cured on the half-way or get discharged after primary treatment . Now, question arises why the docs intentionally harass the patients who could be cured here easily.
