AGARTALA, Nov 18 (TIWN): Suspecting Govt officials as CPI-M cadres Trinamool Congress supporters shooed away them from Barjala area one day ahead of Bi-election.
The Trinamool members alleged that the govt officials came with some bad intensions, as even a little child also knows that no govt work is held ahead of election.
Trinamool members went to the officials and interrogated them about the reaosn of their arrival but they denied to say anything to them. TMC further alleged that the govt officials had escaped like ‘Thieves’ after they had been interrogated.
Talking to media, the Executive Engineer Narayan Das, he said, “We went to work on a water project but they interrupted in that work”.
However, in this election 'no ragging will be tolerated', it was said on Friday morning by MLA Asish Saha to TIWN and added, 'to ensure a ragging free election, TMC will voluntarily work there'.
The bi-election at Barjala & Khowai to be held on Nov 19, for 2 vacant MLA posts.
