AGARTALA, Nov 17 (TIWN): Ahead of bi-election demonstration was done at Umakanta Academy on Thursday.
In that demonstration people were made aware about EVM processing and how to give their votes.
Many people with ID cards gave their votes (as demo) at Umakanta school.
The demonstration was held peacefully, TIWN reported.
The election for 2 constituencies are to bd held on Saturday, and the campaignings for election are also completed at Barjala and Khowai constituencies.
As from the evening no campaigning will be held, so all the political parties did massive rallies, campaigning at Barjala constituency as well as at Khowai-25.
The EVM machine operates on a battery and can be used anywhere and under any conditions. It is tamper-proof, error-free and easy to operate.
Both the Units of the machine are supplied in two separate carrying cases. The polling information, once recorded in the machine, is retained in its memory even when the battery is removed.
The process of voting by voting machine is very simple, quicker and foolproof. Every vote is recorded accurately and there is no invalid vote.
