Security tightened for bi-poll, 9 Companies of CRPF  deployed : Last Day of Election campaigning completed peacefully : Voters to decide candidates fates on Nov 19 replacing Jiten Sarkar

AGARTALA (Barjala), Nov 17 (TIWN): On the last day of election campaigning for bi-election, Tripura political parties have peacefully conducted their election campaigning at Barjala constituency. The BJP, Trinamool are the chief opposition parties of Tripura CPI-M and this election will decide, which opposition party would mark in Assembly election 2018 which is to be held after 1 and half year. Propagating the Bharatiya Janata Party at Brajala constituency, Sunil Deodhar urged the public, ‘Please vote for BJP and bring revolution’. On the other hand BJP-effect ois also at the Khowai constituency, where State President himself propagated the party. BJP had also organized a massive bike rally at Barjala constituency, whereas Trinamool kicked off a unique auto rikshaw rally as a part of its election campaigning.

CPI-M and Congress are also doing their best to gather vote banks as much as possible. 

After Jiten Sarkar had resigned from the post of MLA to join CPI-M his seat has been vacant till day and now various competitors are battling for the MLA post. Trinamool urged public not to vote any other parties but only for Trinamool, as after TMC wins here Mamata Banerjee’s blessing to 'shower' on Tripura.

CPI-M said that public will decide the fate of the candidates, as they know which party is good for them. On Thursday, BJP’s rally was much attractive, which almost safroned the area.

BJP president earlier agreed that at Khowai CPI-M domination is much than Barjala, and claimed that ‘Barjala Constituency is ours’.

 Talking to TIWN, BJP State President Biplab Deb  expressed much confidence about the upcoming bi-election. He said, “At Barjala constituency BJP will definitely win and CPI-M will defeated by BJP for sure. As the other parties as TMC, Congress all are sleeping, so question doesn’t arise that they can beat BJP & public are not going to vote for them”. Asking about Khowai constituency, Deb said, “At Khowai also BJP’s condition is very good and we are confident that we will win there also”. “I’m very positive after holding door to door campaigning and talking to the public”, said Deb.

After Congress MLA Jiten Sarkar had resigned from his MLA post to join CPI-M, from that time the seat has been vacant against which now bi-poll will be held. On the other hand at Khowai, CPI-M MLA Samir Deb Sarkar who passed away on August 28 last and left his seat vacant. 

Thus poll is to be held for his vacant post : From CPI-M Jhumu Sarkar (for Barjala) & Biswajit Datta (for Khowai) have been selected as the candidate.  From Trinamool Prakash Das (for Barjala) & Manoj Das (for Khowai) were selected as candidates. From Congress Rajendra Kumar Das (for Barjala)  & Pranab Biswash (for Khowai) are the candidates.From BJP Sista Mohan Das  (for Barjala)  & Tapan Pal (for Khowai) have been selected as the candidate. 

Now after Nov 19, who will lead those constituencies, it’s to be seen. 9 companies of CRPF were deployed at both the constituencies. At Barjala 48 vote-centers are there, whereas a model booth center is at Natunnagar school, TIWN reported.
