AGARTALA, Nov 11 (TIWN): The non-workable condition of ATMs at Agartala and various other places of the state are causing heavy panics to the customers in Tripura as ATMs are yet left cashless although Reserve Bank printed notes came here already. The usual non-workable condition the ATMs are the chief reason behind such a disorder, resulting a huge rush of customers before Banks. Talking to a man mentioned before UCO Bank ATM, he said that this ATM, along with other many ATMs in Agartala most of the times remain dead, so it’s was expected that such a chaos will be consisted today also. However, a very little number of ATMs worked for a time and people lined up to withdraw money after spending 2 dry days.TIWN reported that thousands of persons queued up outside banks at Agartala on Friday as banks opened for the second day after currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 were demonetised.

While serpentine queues seen at many banks in the state capital were by and large disciplined, reports of scuffle between people and security guards at some bank branches on smaller towns have been reported.

Inside every Banks security has been further strengthen with multiple number of police. People were waiting for their turn to get the new currency notes and also deposit their old money.

The banks however, will be kept open till 6 PM but the cashless ATMs were fully unexpected on Friday.

Thus the security around banks and ATM's has been beefed up following fears that people might get unruly once the new cash currency arrives.
