KAMALPUR, Nov 11 (TIWN): After the subdue of the wave of bloody days of insurgency in the state the militants adopted new ways of importing militancy.

Moreover the state also turned to be a safe corridor of contraband dealing. Besides internationally sponsored terrorism of fake currency and factionalism also became evident. But the lacklustre attitude of the police at different levels remained to be a matter of concern for safety and security.

Such an incident got revealed at Kamalpur police station in which a wanted overground agent of the terrorist got employed in the rubber plantation of an SI. One Shahajahan Mia of Mohanpur worked for the millitants as overground agent for years till 2003. Then he became noticed and police declared him wanted. At that situation he fled to Bangladsh leaving his kith and kin. There he married once again. Meanwhile his in-laws came to India. His mother-in-law Maya Bibi settled at Lambucharra in the sub-division. Almost an year ago he also returned and started to live with Maya Bibi. He still used to go to Bangladesh.

At Lambucharra he used to earn his livlihood as a plantation worker. An SI of Kamalpur police station who hailed from that area  employed Shahajahan in his rubber plantation at much less wages. That SI employed him without enquiring of his whereabouts.

Now, if the administration adopt any step, in this regard or not, remained the matter to be senn.
