KAMALPUR, Nov 11 (TIWN): Another murder case probably being advanced to increase the list of unresolved or decoratedly resolved murder cases in the state. And in several cases the lacklustre investigation led to the unsuccessful result. Another such incident probably set to happen to extend the list.

On 24th August one Tapas Dutta of Manikbhandar got missing from Khowai- Kamalpur NEC road on his way to Khowai in the afternoon. On the next day i.e. 25th August his bike bearing number TR-04-A-4568 was found in a valley at Sukhiabari almost 1.5 kms away from the TSR camp by the NEC road. His distorted body was recovered from a deep valley almost 3.5 kmd away from the camp.

Then the investigation was given to the SDPO Khowai Shyamananda Sharma. Primarily the involvement of a trader of Manikbhandar got traced by the police. Then the investigation got subsided suddenly.

On 19th October the case got handed over to the CID. On 20th October and 21st October CID DSP Ranjit Das and Inspector Bibhas Das conducted primary investigation. Then the matter subsided again. No significant development was attained by CID so far in this case, according to a highly placed source of CID.

Now, fear gathered among the family members and locale that like the case of Tapan Roy murder case and several other cases of CID investigation, this case might turn to a decorated closed chapter.
