Deplorable condition of Silachari - Natun Bazar Road makes life miserable at Amarpur Sub Division
TIWN Nov 10, 2016

AMARPUR, Nov 10 (TIWN): Many Roads under Amarpur Sub Division particularly Silchari Natunbazar Road is in such bad shape due to Manik's control over all depts including PWD. How far few Ministers want real development, but works are being done as all top officials are remotely controlled by CM.

As a result development has become an uphill task in Manik’s era as Chief Minister always scared to give independent hand in running in Govt Departments. Recently Manik expelled Amarpur Ex-MLA Monoranjan Achaerjee. But there are many question which are peeping around manik. why he is not expelled before Municipality Election and many more?

“The sun , the moon and the truth can never be hidden," thus said Lord Buddha centuries ago. But how true these words are at the present context of affairs in Tripura! Indeed , over the last 16 years Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar had enjoyed the unquestionable identity and popularity in the name of 'honesty', 'clean image' and ' poorest Chief Mimister'.

But ever since the discovery of various multi-crore scams in different blocks and govt departments especially in the Rs 50 crore MGNREGA scam in Bishalgarh R D Block, in which Bimal Chakraborty is the main accused , political analysts of the state as well as a major section of the common people have now started to believe that Chief Minister Manik Sarkar\'s honest(?) image is under serious question mark. In recent days party and Manik have come out strongly against the opposition and media for being 'proactive' in campaigning personal scandal against Manik Sarkar.

Over the years MGNREGA fund has been the main ' Fund Source' of affluence of CPI(M) leaders and if one looks at the rapid growth of luxurious Corporate like party offices and the multi-storied buildings of CPI(M)  leaders, the picture becomes as clear as day. Due to such type of corruption Amarpur is now under developed mainly road connectivity.

Stuffed with deep pits and pot holes, Natun Bazar Silachari road has led to many accidents.

The bad condition of the road is strewed with several ditches on the road resulting jerk to the passengers as well as the owner of the vehicles.  Besides, the risks of four wheeler toppling in these ditches always run high.

At every enclosure or so there are deep pits and potholes which is dangerous for vehicle driving, said locals. Erosion of pre-mix is seen here and there which create problem for the drivers to drive safely and smoothly on this road, added locals. Regretting the poor condition of the road, which was posing danger to life and property the locals said that they have complaint for several timed but till day no initiatives has been taken.

Numbers of accidents are happening due to bad condition of road, but the concern Department turn blind eye to the condition. The condition of other link and main roads in the town is somehow, not different. The residents allege that the corruption by the contractors, who use very poor material, led to early depletion of the roads.

Every year construction and maintenance work on the roads started just before the onset of the monsoon. This period is chosen for a particular reason.

While the contractors use very substandard material in the job, but once the water starts stagnating on the road in the rainy season, they have good alibi to blame the nature and escape accountability about the use of poor material
