AGARTALA, Nov 9 (TIWN): Counter attacking Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar after he called Narendra Modi's action as merely a ‘gimmick’, in a press meet held on Wednesday at 6 PM, Biplab Deb at 7 PM in another press meet at BJP Party Office said, “Manik Sarkar doesn’t know the meaning of gimmick at all. As the Chief Minister it was his duty to sustain the people of Tripura, but not to demoralize themâ€. “In that Press meet he could easily console the public by asking them not to be panic but to go the bank and deposit the money or to take change from Thursday. But he troubled the people by creating unnecessary confusionsâ€, said Deb. BJP State President said, “After Indira Gandhi’s time, it is in 2016 that PM Modi has taken another big economic decision". Infact it's a more bigger decision than Indira Gandhi's time by which 80 % people of India who are poor will be benefitedâ€, he added.
Manik Sarkar claimed, 'no back money will be returned with this decision of the central govt', but BJP State President Biplab Deb claimed, ‘After Modi came in power not a single money was deposited in foreign banks'
.“Pakistan distributed all fake currencies now have been hacked but it is a surprise that opposition parties are unnecessarily becoming panic, rather than becoming happy”, said Deb.
Pointing at Trinamool and CPI-M Deb said, the MLAs who were owner of crores and crores, now nothing left to them, as this decision is very strict; ......may be Manik Sarkar has not go through it properly. Nobody can move their shoulder in a wrong way as they will be caught by smart banking service onwards. Deb further said, “For any land-selling issue, now check system will be workable, so no chance for frauds”.
Slamming Tripura CM, Deb said, “He has cried over the fact that state has less banks, but who is responsible for this condition? It’s Communist Govt ! He could easily inspire the public to go to banks, rather than politicizing PM’s great decision”.
“Against Vijay Mallya Central govt has taken steps and now Court is taking decision. But today in press conference CM raised the issue adding a wrong data of Rs. 11,000 crores of black money to him”, Deb said.
“People have enough trust on Modi, they have trust on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. People will decide which govt is good”, he added. “I thank Narendra Modi for this historical move”, he added.
Deb also challenged---‘after this move CPI-M’s massive party funds have become valueless & only time will show it’.
