Filling Station refused the currency notes of 500 & 1000 denominations: PM's declaration ineffective

KAMALPUR, NOVEMBER 10,(TIWN): After the declaration of cancelation of currency notes of 500 & 1000 denominations, dilemma prevailed everywhere. And adding to the confusion the filling station refused to accept the notes here at Kamalpur today.

According to the declaration of the PM, the filling stations would continue transactions with currency notes of 500 & 1000 denominations till the midnight of 11 November. But the actual scenario remained completely different. In the sub-division the sole filling station, the Annapurna Filling Station refused the transactions with those currency notes. Even they refused to sell fuels of quantity of more than 100 rupees. As a result, the commuters experienced jolts.

Moreover, the administrstion also remained reluctant about this.
