AGARTALA, Nov 9 (TIWN): The maximum banks are not closed, only the customer service has been halted for a day, said an HDFC Banker to TIWN on Wednesday.

‘Bankers' communication via email is going on and how to proceed with works in following days, we are being dictated’, he said.

However, in compare to other days, today it’s much relief for workers, he added.

As no transaction and customer service is there so it’s said that bank is closed but actually internal works are going on and maximum workers are present at banks, he said.

The coming days will be work-full days following surgical strike decision on black money, the banker told TIWN. 

The private banks were found open since due time at Agartala, TIWN reported.
