Transferred teachers violate orders
TIWN

Agartala, June 6 (TIWN): The teachers and clerks who were transferred to ADC schools ahead of Lok Sabha polls have not yet joined the schools and they remain untraced.

A few Science Graduate teachers, Under-Graduate teachers along with clerks were transferred and given posting to ADC. Most of them are yet to join that has left ADC administration in dilemma. The administration is likely to demand action against those transferred employees who defied the order of School Education Department.

School Education Department ahead of Lok Sabha poll transferred altogether 56 Science Graduate teachers, 300 UGTs and 16 clerks to ADC. There was a dispute regarding the transfer orders as code of conduct at that time remained in action. Teachers from city schools were transferred to ADC. But, most of the teachers disobeyed the order. As code of conduct remained in action, the transfer orders could not be changed.

The transferred teachers are still trying their best. Official sources revealed that the state government has not taken any decision regarding change in transfer orders. Out of 56 Science teachers, only 10 joined in new schools. Among 300 UGTs, 235 obeyed the order and performing their duty properly in schools. Besides, out of 16 clerks, only 4 accepted the order, said sources.

The state government fulfilling the demands of ADC administration transferred teachers and clerks. ADC sources were not able to trace those who have not joined in new schools. The transfers were conducted in first phase. Furthermore, transfer procedure for the second phase was on. As the transfers in the first phase have resulted in intricacy, the issuing of second order is uncertain.
