Agartala, June 6 (TIWN): Tripura Khadi and Village Industries Board today released a ‘Mou-Katha’ book on bee-keeping at the board office premises. The cover of the book was unveiled by the Minister for Industries Department- Tapan Chakraborty.
After unveiling the cover of ‘Mou-Katha’ book, Minister Tapan Chakraborty in his speech stated that the book would be helpful for the bee cultivators. “Before that different oral seminars were organised to train the cultivators by the Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). But after the release of this book, the cultivators would be more proficient to bee-keeping by reading the book”, he added.
Chakraborty further said this book will help the bee cultivators to farm more developed bee-keeping process. For that the bee cultivators of the rural areas would be more benefited and they would become more autonomous, he said.
After being trained about bee-keeping, the department will arrange loan for the bee-cultivators. As a result, the cultivators would be able to grow their bee-keeping and they would get benefited. The board also established a common facility centre and a unit to monitor the quality processing of honey under the Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries.
During the book release function, the Chairman of Tripura Khadi and Village Industries Board- Gouri Das and Joint Director- Kaijak Debbarma remainsd present.
