KAMALPUR, Nov 5 (TIWN): The issue of the mysterious death of 75 year old Rama Das of Chotosurma turned into a closed chapter of the police investigation.

The pre-planned and much emphasized theory of suicide propagated by the ruling party’s leaders completely controlled the movement of police. Interestingly, the fate of viscera collected from the dead body and the reports thereof remained suppressed.

Police also not showed any interest to reach the root of the incident. And, according to the opinion of the local people, a cool-blooded murder got suppressed under the guise of suicide.

The incident of demise of Rama Das got unearthed on 21st of October as the local people informed police about this mysterious death. It revealed that, the bed-ridden Rama Das committed suicide on 17th October by consuming pesticide.

The son of Rama, Sushanta and his wife Kalpana, buried  Rama with the help of his cousins. One relative cum an elected Panchayat Member Jhuma Das also witnessed the matter.

The family not only suppressed the fact from police but Jhuma somehow influenced the CPI-M party leaders to numb up. In fact the local people firmly demanded it as a murder.

After getting the information, police rushed to the spot. Recovered the body, collected viscera and conducted post-mortem in front of the executive Magistrate. Police also registered an UD case bearing number 34/2016 under section 174 of CrPC.

But after that all hurly-burly subsided. And police pretended in such a way that such incident never happened at all. And a serious incident got closed without any conclusion.
