AGARTALA, Nov 5 (TIWN): Agartala city is reeling under huge petrol crisis, added more agonies with the ongoing LPG crisis situation. The miseries of public here has no end as amidst rainy weather they are waiting in long lines before Agartala petrol pumps. Talking to a consumer at Durga Bari petrol pump he said to TIWN Correspondent, “Petrol crisis here may happen any time and it has no guarantee, when it comes. How much protest common people can make ? Now we are habituated with standing in long lines”. However, report of petrol crisis is more in Agartala City as the demand is also high here, but the supply also remains high for the this city’s pumps. Only 2 petrol pumps are providing petrol on Saturday morning, at Ganaraj Chowmuhani, at Durga Bari petrol pump. The crisis reportedly began from Friday night. Tension is more before petrol pumps as anytime rain may hit here.

Already splashes of rain wetted many consumers. Another consumer at Agartala said, “There is no mercy from petrol, LPG crisis amidst rainy weather here but what can we do apart from waiting in long lines”.

The unofficial crisis shocked the public, as even after moving from one petrol pump to another, people were not getting  fuel. The word “petrol crisis” haunts the people of Tripura now like a terror. Evenafter the recovery of NH-44, petrol via train, Fuel via Bangladesh the crisis is existing & tension of further petrol crisis is making the lines bigger and bigger.

TIWN reported that during festival season also many petrol pumps remained empty with ‘No-Fuel’ sign, whereas in black market petrol was available. Before the gas agencies of Agartala the scene is almost same.

At Agartala, public stand in lines since early morning 4 AM, so that at 8 AM when the store opens their number comes first. This is the situation of Tripura, where public is wasting hours and hours standing in long lines and then they have to manage time to go to office.

Crisis has become a part of Tripura in left front era, as after petrol the LPG & Kerosene crisis are hitting the state since a year. Tripura suffered a long from Petrol crisis but now people are unable to cook also due to the LPG crisis problem.
