UDAIPUR,June 5(TIWN) : Tipped by some authentic sources, Nutan Bazar Police Station led by IPS, Probationer (attached to Police Station) Sudipta Das , arrested a most wanted extremist namely Biraj Moni Jamatia from a hiding place in Shib Kumar Para area under Nutan Bazar Police Station early in the morning.
Biraj Moni has been playing hide and seek with police for a period of fourteen years. It is not clear , however, to which group Biraj Moni belongs, police sources informed.
It is learnt that at around 4.30am in the morning IPS Probationer Sudipta Das went to Biraj's hiding place and succeeded to arrest him. At noon police produced Biraj at the Ejlas of District and Session Judge Biswajit Palit, who sent Biraj Moni to fourteen days of judicial custody.
On the other hand, Radhakishorepur Police Station arrested two persons allegedly involved in an incident of robbery. Police arrested one Dipak Mangal Jamatia from Maharani Tuiharchung area. Again Manindra Jamatia was arrested from Kalaban, Garji area. Both were arrested in the morning.
In the afternoon both Dipak Mangal Jamatia and Manindra Jamatia were produced before the Court of District & Session Judge Biswajit Palit. The Magistrate sent Dipak Mangal to fourteen days of judicial custody but Manindra Jamatia was released in jail.
