AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Congress on Wednesday tried to exhibit the party power by creating unnecessary clashes with police during the time of nomination paper submission for Barjala constituency. This eccentric behavior from Tripura Pradesh Congress led by Birjit Sinha was quite unexpected. Reportedly, during the submission of nomination paper there are basic rules declared by Election Commissioner. But while going to SDM office, Congress supporters instead of taking office line road, they thronged by the IGM road, which was forbidden. Moreover, whereas only 5 to 6 persons are allowed to go inside SDM office, Congress supporters violating all the rules hit the law and order of the City infront of SDM Office, by emerging clashes with police and sought to go all together inside the office.

Congress supporters' unruly behavior created chaos at the heart of the city. Eye witnesses told TIWN, “During nomination paper submission such incident never occurred earlier. This is our first ever experience”.

TIWN further reported that during SDM room visiting, all the Congress supporters wanted to enter but SDM said only 5 persons are allowed as per rule. Then one of the Congress leader said, “Is there any written document regarding this rules?”

In this way Congress has made the party just a 'Joke' before the public, ahead of bi-poll.

It’s worthy to mention here that till day Congress was sleeping but suddenly it woke up with quite unexpected activities. Few people are saying out of frustratyion Birjit led Congress has done this. 

Evenafter much storms blew over Congress party after maximum members in Tripura converted into Trinammol, no lesson Congress here learnt. Instead of strengthening the party power, Congress is now practising ‘mafia-raj’ activities, said a local man near IGM, who was blocked due to traffic jam caused by Congress.

Although Sonia Gandhi was said to take a move for NE Congress party union's strength, but the Tripura Congress is almost sleeping. 

Whereas all the parties including ruling party CPI-M & opposition TMC, BJP are busy in door to door campaigning ahead of bi-election, Congress is in deep sleep, without holding any campaigning yet. 

Rejecting TMC’s proposal to announce any candidate’s name for this bi-election, Tripura’s broken party (from which maximum have converted as Trinamool and Mamata Banerjee seized the place of Sonia Gandhi in Tripura), had declared its candidates name for bi-poll. 

 Congress State President Birajit Sinha and MLA Gopal Roy jointly declared the names as from Barjala constituency its Rajendra Kumar Das & at Khowai Pranab Biswash have been declared as the bi-poll candidates, on Oct 23.
