AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): Ahead of bi-election, Nanadan Nagar villagers led by local women exposed CPI-M’s real face by blocking road in their locality, demanding to solve the ongoing water crisis at there. TIWN correspondent visited the spot during the blockade was held and asked the women about the exact issue. A housewife said, “At Nandan Nagar, irregularity of water supply has become a part of daily miseries for us. Eventhough we raised the issue many times, but the problem of Nadan Nagar was never solved”. “Ministers come and go, visitors also come frequently here and promise us about many initiatives to be taken by them, but till day we are facing bundles of problems everyday”. Women further slammed the ruling govt., local panchayat members for their negligence to the rural areas problems. The poor people’s party CPI-M has failed to solve the daily problems of that village in its long 23 years of regime, although Nandan Nagar is very close to the main town areas of Agartala, which resulted in mass anger among the common people there.

Tripura CPI-M Ministers, leaders are now busy in election campaigning in attempt to screwing the opposition party powers which are emerging in state. But how much concern they (CPI-M) are about the real welfare of the people of Tripura, it gets exposed when common people come on road.

Nandan Nagar area, which is known for its own natural beauty and showing the paddy fields as examples, the ruling govt often claims that how much agricultural developments have been done in left front era. Ahead of election red colour flags reaches every corners of that villages.

The CPI-M flags, festoons dominates in every corners of the paddy field, near every houses, water bodies, shops, even in primary, pre-primary schools areas of Nandan Nagar. But what those red colour flags actually symbolize? Is it about party’s love for public? Or the Red-Flag symbolizes how the ruling party sucking the bloods of poor people?

Nandan Nagar villagers do not have basic facilities of life, neither they have well infrastructure in primary schools, health cares and women, children here mostly suffering from lack of nutrition.

It’s worthy to mention here that just few days before TTADC Election, which is to be held on Nov 19,the water scarcity problem across hilly areas of Tripura came in Tripura govt’s minds as Autonomous District Council administration had decided solve drinking water problem in backward places.

However, 4 years have passed that the CPI-M govt didn’t care for the drinking water scarcity problem but just few days ago of the TTADC election Govt showed concerns about water scarcity problem.

120 deep tube wells will be given  and estimated Rs 54 crore will be spent for this purpose. Radhacharan Debbarma said that the ADCadministration will spend Rs 12 crore to electrify all the villages.

But in reality, the luxurious life is a dream for hilly and rural people here, they do not have basic facilities for living evenafter CPI-M ruled for long 23 years in Tripura.

Tripura is claimed for having the highest literacy rate in allover India, but such areas depict another scenario.
