AGARTALA, Oct 25 (TIWN): In demand to begin the pass-fail system in schools from class-1, All India Democratic Students’ Organization placed mass deputation at the office Director of School Education, Agartala on Tuesday.
In a letter given to the HRD Minister, Mridul Kanti Sarkar, AIDSO Secretary wrote, “It is reported in the media that the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) is going to hold its 64th meeting on 25th Oct, 2016 to discuss about the re-introduction of compulsory board examination after Class-X & to review the ‘no-detention provision’ under RTE-2009… We welcome the re-introduction of compulsory board examination after Class-X, but strongly differ with the decision of re-introduction of pass-fail system from Class-VI’
He further said, “The AIDSO strongly oppose this & demands immediate re-introduction of pass-fail system from Class-l”.
