DHARMANAGAR, Oct 21 (TIWN): Social Welfare Minister Bijita Nath can no more claim herself for doing welfare as under her regime, little innocent children’s lives are in peril. Due to her negligence, what is going on in the name of Anganwadi centres across the state nobody knows. She is also ignorant about the Western Side Angwanwadi Centre, where children are consuming poisonous water made food everyday. The wells remained without maintenance since many years, Dharmanagar eye witnessed correspondent told from the spot. Reportedly, the Anganwadi Centre in Deoan-Pasa is under heavy challenge due to Panchayat’s too much interference in it, TIWN reported. The Panchayat Pradhan named Sobha Devi, when came to the spot, after agitated public stopped class in that mentioned pre-primary school, she said the Anganwadi has water supply system but later she miserable failed to show any water-supply inside it. Then she realized no water supply is there inside the Anganwadi centre. This is the condition of Golden Era, where the leaders are leading such pathetic level of knowledge about own areas. TIWN correspondent reported from Deoan-Pasa that the land of the Anganwadi centre was also occupied from public property.

The names of the donators are Jagadish Chandra Pal & Swapna Rudra Pal. During that time, the family was promised to give a work in that Anganwadi Centre, but till day nothing they got. Moreover, another local had also donated his 12 feet road with the promise of Rs. 20,000/  for his eye operation.

The mentioned persons could sell their property but they thought that it will help the society, but till day nothing has been given to them by the Panchayat. Agitated public said, “Panchayat has deprived the people and looted the fund massively in the name of welfare”.

Who can forget about February month’s incident when a cooked rat was found in a little girl’s plate which had hit the cabinet also.  This shocking incident took place at the Anganwadi Centre, Ward number 2, North Ganga Nagar, at Dharmanagar subdivision on Monday.

During the morning time when the students were taking meals at the Anganwadi Centre, they were shocked to find the parts of the dead rat in their plates. Among them, the body of the rat was found in a plate (in picture above),and the tails, other body parts were found in other plates.

Many plates were full of rat parts which were consumed by infants.Getting informed about it, locals protested heavily against the school authorities and held meeting among themselves for further actions. But ultimately, after media focus was diverted to other issues, no action was taken against the authority.

But even after that incident under Manik Sarkar’s Golden Era, no safety can be assured to the health of the state’s children, which has created much anger among the public of North Tripura again.
