AGARTALA, Oct 17 (TIWN): Agartala Abhoynagar’s fire mayhem victims are now getting political attention as BJP has donated Rs. 1000/-to each of the 13 families who lost their everything after fire broke out during laxmi Puja night.

The incident occurred at 4 AM Sunday early morning, when there was no chance of crackers-burning or similar activities. All the victims alleged it was must  have done by miscreants.

Victims further charged Fire Brigade officials for their negligence in duty. Local people complained that the fire brigade phone number was not working for long, but anyhow they managed to inform them about the situation. Instead of informing them fire brigade was late to that spot, resulting full damage to the houses.

However, political leaders, govt officials including DM Millind Ramteke visited the spot. BJP State President Biplab Deb and Vice President Subal Bhowmik also visited there and talked to the victims. However, Biplab Deb said, after holding a meeting they will decide how much they can provide to each of the victim families. Biplab Deb further requested the DM that atleast Rs. 5000/ to give each to the victim families.

AMC Councilor Biswajit Deb also talked to the victims. All the houses belonged to the Satyabrata Saha, the owner of the houses.

Following their visit, BJP Morcha has given Rs. 1000/- for now. But public expecting more donations from political parties, so that they can manage the condition after that massive losses they faced.
