AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): Congress President Sonia Gandhi has approved re-constitution of the party's Tripura unit with Pradyut Kishor Deb Barman named as its working president.

In a press meet Birjit Sinha said on Sunday that Congress party will re-construct with the new members and will come back in full wave as earlier.

“We are happy that Congress President Sonia Gandhi has approved the re-construction of Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee and 9 District Committees”, said Sinha.

Around 150 people has formed the committee whereas Pradyut Kishore Deb Barman will work  as the working president.

She also approved re-constitution of nine district committees in the northeastern state, it was earlier said by Congress General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi in a statement.
