UDAIPUR,MAY 29 (TIWN) : Special Judge of District Court Asish Pal(District & Session Judge) Thursday sentenced one Kejari Mog(24) of Rupaichhori S P Colony Para under Sabroom Police Station to 12 years Imprisonment along with a penalty of Rs-10000/- in case of non-payment of the penalty.

The conviction was given under section 6 of 'The Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act 2012'. Interstingly the punishment has been given with in 7 months and 7 days of the actual occurence of the offence.

    It is to be noted that on 12/10/2013 Kejari forcibly raped a minor girl of 15 years living near his house. It was at 11 in the morning on the fateful day. The minor girl went to the near by field to cut grass along with her younger sister Ayun Mog. Suddenly Kejari seized the victim from behind and barbarously raped her. After committing his barbarism Kejari was about to kill the girl. Guessing this the younger sister rushed to her mother Akra Mog and at once her mother ran to the spot along her neighbours and rescued the minor. By the Kejari managed to escape from the spot.

   In the afternoon the victim's parents lodged a complaint in the Sabroom Police Station(Case No-107/2013). On the same day police arrested the rapist. After investigation Investgating Officer Mafra Mog submitted the Chargesheet before the Court with in two months. After the hearing of 17 witness Special Judge Asish Pal convicted Kejari Mog guilty and on Thursday the Judge ordered 12 years imprisonment to Kejari along with a penalty of Rs-10000/- and six months more imprisonment in case the penalty is not paid. Again under Section 341 of IPC the Judge ordered Kejari Mog one month imprisonment and a penalty of Rs-500/-. While giving his order Justice Asish Pal instructed the District Legal Service Authority to give Rs-30000/- to the rapevictim under the 'Victim's Compensation Scheme.'
