AGARTALA, Oct 3 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has chosen to blast hapless, poorly-paid teachers for State’s dilapidated education sector even though Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty failed to run Education Ministry from the day one. Manik Sarkar on Monday during the inauguration programme of Ramthakur Pathsala Girls’ H S School said that due to the negligence of Teachers, School authorities - the proper utilization of infrastructure are yet to be held in Tripura”. “Tripura Govt. has brought enormous developments in Education sectors with free of cost Education, huge number of Teaching staffs, better infrastructure. Now it’s the teachers; duty to utilize the infrastructure and loving the students as their own children & also they should give extra time to schools”, said CM. Manik Sarkar said, “This is a very significant day for Ramthakur Pathsala Girls’ School as they have finally gotten its new building. During a blood donation camp I was asked to re-construct their broken school buildings & I am happy that as per our limited capacity we have provided them this building”. Wily CM avoided the key topic of deprivation of teachers due to huge gap in Centre-State pay scales.

Tripura’s development has become a challenge due to the massive corruptions held in various departments under the nose of CM.

CM also thanked the Housing & Construction board for  completing the work fast but CM kapt mum on improving State's education sector and introducing Central Pay scale.

Apart from that massive scams involving central's RMSA and other schemes also paralysed State's education.

However, how CPI-M  Govt. has brought revolution(?) in state, CM claimed that “In our time no proper class room, no benches, no water supply system were available in schools. The schools where I studied we were used to sat on the flood, below a tree a broken classroom was there and we had to carry pots from far away. Due to lack of staffs students had to ring the bell. Education was not free of cost. In that condition, the development of today shows the revolution done by the Govt”.

In this regard it can be said that CM must go to the villages, where till day students have to do so many works including water carrying, sitting on floor. In areas like Manithang Bari (Udaipur ADC area), it was found in 2015, that due to lack of staffs the Headmaster was ringing the bell. Infact Manik Sarkar’s own school at Udaipur also left in same condition without any infrastructure.

But CM further claimed, Tripura Govt. is giving now proper facilities & now the number of degree colleges are also huge. In MGNREGA Tripura is doing remarkable works, so why the results are not satisfactory ?

To the MGNREGA point it can be said that Tripura Govt officials came under heavy pressure recently, for detaining Central funds under Khowai Dist. In a letter to Khowai SDM, Zonal Development Officer, Block Development Officer, Deputy Director to Agriculture, Dist Forest Officer, the Executive Engineer of RD Division Teliamura--- it has been clearly written to refund the unspent MGNREGA fund within Oct 5, to avoid any action to be taken against them. From Bimal Chakraborty case to Highest Man-days scams Tripura has recorded with bundles of corruption-issues under MGNREGA, but Manik Sarkar is busy to praise the Govt. for MGNREGA.

In mid-day-meal no state has done so much of scams, as Tripura.

Tripura Education system’s pathetic condition, state wide poor infrastructure, Mid-day-meal corruption, NHM scam have downed the Quality of Education. State Tripura is now considered for  holding the highest literacy-rate in the whole country but all the educations, just for namesake as disable Education Dept, corruption tainted Govt. officials have no intension to develop the quality of Education, neither the department has any motive to upgrade the infrastructure of schools.

But during the whole speech CM was claiming that without infrastructure also studies can be done & the infrastructure of Tripura schools are enough for "Quality Education".

At last, Tripura CM failed to mention the most important point that all these money for Education sectors were given by Central Govt, not a penny by State Govt.
