Agartala, May 26 (TIWN): As the Palatana plant has undergone Project Guarantee Test (PGT) since May 17, the state has witnessed a shortfall of 100 MW throughout the state. Not only Tripura, but also, North Eastern states like Assam and Meghalaya too faced tough times and are facing yet.
People of Santir bazaar have been facing hard times due to low voltage problem. This summer the sun seems to glow more resulting in an increase in temperature every day. The growing scorching heat has already left the state in a situation of drought. People have been suffering from scarcity of water throughout the state.
Similar power cut problems have been noticed in the Santir Bazaar area recently. Along with that some of the areas of the Santir Bazaar subdivision are suffering from low voltage problems too which have been causing uneasiness to the local residents residing have conducted a road blockade on the Agartala- Saboom National highway recently.
They have complained that they have been suffering from frequent power cuts for the last few days but now the problem has worsened by remaining a low that the voltage is so low that the lights are not sufficient whereas fans have stopped revolving too.
The matter have been reported to the authorities but only in vain as a result of which only the residents were forced to take such a hostile step of blocking the road. The authorities have assured the people that they will take proper step in solving the problem soon only after which the blockade was removed. The residents still awaits a proper way out to the problem soon.
