KAMALPUR, Sep 29 (TIWN): The red-tapism of bureaucracy and the negligence have created much problem for the commoners in the state.

Often the deprived people is found complaining about the bureaucratic hurly-burly and the resultant pathos. But, the so-called political leaders and rulers are never found keen enough to remedy the problems.

And in this saga, a handicapped person namely Hirendra Namasudra of Kalachari area remains deprived of the RSBY facility even after having the card and enrolment.

Regarding the matter, he several times has knocked the state top brass as well as the Central government. But nothing yielded any hope for him.

In 1998, Hirendra got enrolled for RSBY along with his wife, son and daughter. But mysteriously, the names of family members got slipped from the RSBY facility. He pleaded the concerning Labour Inspector for rectification.

Then he got assurances. But he got new RSBY card in August this year. Recently, he got admitted in the BSM Hospital, Kamalpur with fever. Then it got revealed that the data bank of his card has the pictures of his family members along with himself.

But, the names against those photographs were not of them. As for example, against his photograph, the name was enrolled as Harendra Namasudra which was the name of his deceased father.

In the same way, the names of his wife, son and daughter were also changed. Hence, the family remained deprived of the facility.

In this context, why the handicapped person should bear such a humiliation remained the matter of concern.
